- Junior Research Fellowship (JRF): Maximum 30 years. A relaxation of up to 5 years is provided to OBC-NCL, SC, ST, PwD/PwBD, Third Gender, and women applicants.
- Assistant Professor & Ph.D. Admission: There is no upper age limit.

Examination Pattern & Subjects
The exam will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode using objective-type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) available in both Hindi and English. The total duration is 180 minutes (3 hours) with no breaks between papers
The test covers 5 core subjects across three sections (Part A, Part B, and Part C): 1.Chemical Sciences (Code 701), 2.Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences (Code 702), 3.Life Sciences (Code 703), 4.Mathematical Sciences (Code 704), 5.Physical Sciences (Code 705)

- Go to the official NTA Joint CSIR-UGC NET portal at https://csirnet.nta.nic.in. Otherwise, you can access it via the link provided at the bottom of this page.
- Interested candidates for the National Testing Agency (NTA) CSIR UGC NET June 2026 examination can apply online between May 27, 2026, and June 19, 2026.
- Click on “New Registration” and enter your basic personal and contact details to generate an Application Number.
- Log in using your Application Number and newly created password to fill out the complete application form.
- Upload a clear scanned color photograph (10 KB to 200 KB) against a white background and your signature (10 KB to 50 KB) in JPG/JPEG format.
- Pay the required application fee using Net Banking, Credit/Debit Card, or UPI.
- Download and save the generated Confirmation Page for future reference.

To be eligible for JRF, candidates must not be more than 30 years of age as of July 1, 2026.
